Susan is on the edge of Roger Spring Canyon, just 1/4mile South of the Cabin. She is a flower in the desert. While walking North Shore Hwy towards Fire Canyon

The Davenport Hotel was just perfect. Susan was involved in the WEA conference while i had opportunities to explore the city and draw. This campanile along the riverwalk was a perfect object to sketch. It shall be posted soon.

Who designed that building?

Books, movies, and other art forms are rarely discussed, certainly not criticized with out mentioning the author or creator of the the art form. Architecture on the other hand is often reviewed in print without every mentioning the person responsible for the building. It is as if the builder just drove his truck to the site and started in one corner and finished in an other. Developers may be mentioned, yet they are like producers in the film industry, not the writers, not the directors and certainly not the actors.

To increase the quality of architecture in our region, lets applaud great buildings that enhance our built environment and criticize those that fail by being obtrusive, boring, out of scale, environmentally unsound, etc.
